Starting on Saturday 20 April 2024 from Cowes, UK to Le Havre, France, immerse yourself in the thrill of offshore racing on board a cutting-edge Clipper 68 racing yacht. Itinerary

  • 0900 – Arrival at Clipper HQ in Gosport
  • Morning briefing and boat familiarisation
  • Afternoon sail training followed by Dinner ashore (included)
  • Overnight on board in Gosport’s Premier Marina or Cowes Yacht Haven.
  • AM Depart Gosport/Cowes for race start.
  • 0850 – Race Start
  • Race across the Channel to Le Havre
  • The race will be between 110-160 miles race and expected to take 24-36 hours to complete (subject to conditions)
  • Sunday 21 April: On arrival in Le Havre you may have the opportunity to enjoy some local hospitality before commencing the return sail to Gosport
  • Monday 22 April: Return sail to Gosport
  • Expect to depart the yachts no later than 1600 from Gosport Premier Marina on the final day.

Who Can Enter

In order to take part in some sailing race events additional training and qualification events may need to be completed. Please make sure you meet the criteria listed within this section or contact the team for further information.

  • 1. The Cervantes Trophy Race is open to all over 18s.
  • 2. Previous sailing experience is not required.
  • 3. This event is open to individuals or groups looking for an unforgettable experience.
