Race Overview

After a highly successful inaugural event in 2022, we are currently planning on what this event will look like in 2023 and beyond. Keep checking back for the latest information.

Putting the fun back into big boat racing – a new feature on the Clipper Events calendar for September 2022 was the Knox-Johnston Cup. Named in honour of our founder, this flagship event, saw our yachts race around the Isle of Wight with the tactical racing features of the Clipper Race. The event was divided into legs, featured a scoring gate, timed sprints and the double points joker card. It’s not just line honors that were raced for, but the extra points that can affect the overall podium.

Open to businesses, organisations, Race Crew alumni and supporters and teams of friends – no experience required. This was a fun, social and highly competitive race, with time for training,  networking and catching up with friends and of course a few sundowners.
